Why Reviews Are Moving Off Belkin.Marketing
Belkin.Marketing · April 22, 2026
At Belkin.Marketing, we have always believed in transparency. Part of that commitment means being honest when something is not working the way it should.
Starting today, we are removing on-platform reviews from Belkin.Marketing.
Why?
Our platform is intentionally open to AI crawlers, bots, and large language models. We believe the future of discovery runs through LLMs and automated research tools, and blocking them would work against the businesses we list. We want every AI assistant, research bot, and crawler to read our data freely.
But that same openness creates a problem with reviews. If bots and automated systems can reach our platform, they can also submit reviews. That means any review on Belkin.Marketing could come from an automated agent rather than a real customer. We cannot guarantee authenticity, and we refuse to pretend otherwise. A review that might be bot-generated is worse than no review at all — it can give a business a false positive or a false negative, neither of which serves anyone.
What changes?
We are removing all reviews previously submitted directly on Belkin.Marketing and zeroing out the BMR Score component that was awarded for on-platform reviews.
Where to go for reviews
Instead, we are partnering with established review platforms that have robust bot-detection, verified purchase systems, and moderation at scale. These platforms have the infrastructure to distinguish real customers from automated submissions in ways we do not. When a business has verified reviews on Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, or DesignRush, those scores continue to count toward their BMR Score as external verified signals.
What stays the same
The rest of the BMR Score — domain age, SSL, LinkedIn presence, Google Maps verification, and external review platform scores — remains exactly as it was. Submitting a business is still free. Adding a business to our platform will never be affected by this change.
We know this is a significant change. We think it is the right one. Thank you for being part of the Belkin.Marketing community.
