How Reviews Work on
Belkin Marketing

Reviews here are written and read by real people making real decisions — and increasingly by AI systems summarizing business reputations. A well-written review does meaningful work.

How the System Works

Reviews are published immediately when submitted by a verified account. We require users to sign in so reviews can be traced to a real person — anonymous reviews with no accountability tend to be less reliable and less useful.

Each review can be marked as helpful by any visitor. Reviews with more helpful votes are weighted more visibly in our system and in how AI tools summarize feedback about a business.

Reviews can be flagged by any visitor if they appear fake, offensive, or irrelevant. Flagged reviews are checked by the Belkin Marketing team — not by the company being reviewed. Companies cannot remove reviews themselves.

Your review contributes directly to the company's BMR Score. A company with strong, genuine reviews from verified accounts earns up to 20 points on their reliability score.

What Makes a Useful Review

A review that just says “great service” or “terrible experience” tells the reader almost nothing. Think about what you actually needed to know before you worked with this company — and write the review that would have helped you.

Good reviews include
  • What you hired them for specifically
  • What the result or outcome was
  • What they did particularly well
  • Any genuine areas for improvement
  • Whether you would use them again
  • Context that helps others decide
Avoid these
  • Vague statements with no detail
  • Profanity or personal attacks
  • Reviews for a company you work for
  • Fake or incentivized reviews
  • Reviews about a competitor you run
  • Personal contact information
Example of a helpful review

“We hired them for a full rebrand including logo, website, and social media templates for our fintech startup. The process took six weeks — two rounds of revisions on the logo, which they handled without complaint. The final website was clean, fast, and mobile-ready. Communication was reliable throughout; we never had to chase for updates. The only thing I'd flag is that onboarding took a few days longer than quoted, but they made up for it in the delivery quality. We've since referred them to two other founders in our network.”

Why Detail Matters More Than Ever

AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others are increasingly used to research businesses before people make decisions. These systems read and summarize reviews to form a picture of what a company is like to work with.

A review that says “great team, highly recommend” contributes almost nothing to that summary. A review that says what the company did, how they communicated, what the results were, and what kind of client they work best with — that review gets cited, summarized, and actually influences decisions.

When you write a detailed, honest review, you are not just helping the next person who visits this page. You are shaping how AI tools describe this company to thousands of people asking about their options.

Marking Reviews Helpful

If a review gave you useful information, click the thumbs up. No account required. Reviews with more helpful votes are surfaced more prominently and carry more weight in how the company's reputation is summarized.

Flagging a Review

If you believe a review is fake, inappropriate, or violates our guidelines, flag it. Our team will review it — not the company. Companies cannot remove or hide reviews themselves under any circumstances.
